The WebMCP Challenge
The WebMCP Challenge is OpenAI's online hackathon for building websites or apps that use WebMCP to connect AI agents with web capabilities. The official page now says the challenge has ended after the September 4, 2026 08:00 UTC deadline, with a US$35,000 prize pool.
Eligibility
Individuals, teams, or organizations of at least the age of majority in their residence country may enter from countries where the OpenAI API is supported.
