Smithsonian NESST Youth Ambassador Program 2026-2027
The Smithsonian Science Education Center’s virtual NESST Youth Ambassador Program is currently accepting applications from September 14-27, 2026, and may close early after 150 applications. It connects high school students aged 14-19 with youth and professionals globally to investigate sustainability issues, take local action, receive mentorship, and develop content for Smithsonian events.
Eligibility
High school students aged 14-19 at the start of the programme from around the world who want to investigate local and global issues through a scientific lens, take action, and represent their communities on a global Youth Ambassador Team.
